Rickshaw Bells
chorus: (2 times)
rickshaw bell, rickshaw bells
ringing all the way
oh what fun it is to ride in a rickshaw every day
Dashing through the cars, as on our rickshaw goes,
watch out for that van,
it missed us by a nose.
Horns beep all around,
as onward we advance,
Rickshaw rides in Bangladesh
are somewhat like a dance, OH
(chorus)
Here's a car, there's a truck, watch out for that man!
Can we get around that bus?
I guess he thinks we can WHOA!
That was close, my oh my,
What more can I say?
Oh what fun it is to ride on a rickshaw every day!
(chorus)
These are the lyrics for the Bangladesh version of "Jingle Bells." At Grace International School they had a Christmas program and this was one of the songs that they sang as they talked about a current day Mary and Joseph coming to a slum in Dhaka to have Jesus. This last week was filled Christmas celebrations. For three nights in a row I sang Christmas songs. On Sunday, the 17th we had our DICC Carols by Candlelight, on Monday was the Grace School play and on Tuesday was the Ebenezer School play.
